With digitalization gaining ground in the country, the newly introduced service reflects the Bank’s vision to be a vibrant and innovative banking institution in Oman and affirms its belief in innovation to attain excellence. It also demonstrates its primary objective of meeting customers’ banking requirements round-the-clock.

We are certain that our new feature will enhance the level of service we provide to our customers, as it allows them to open a saving account on the go, from anywhere in the world, thereby contributing to our continuous endeavour to speed up banking procedures.”

Once ahli islamic mobile app is downloaded, individual citizens and residents will be able to open their savings account instantly with the Bank and access a range of benefits and banking services in simple and easy steps.
“The newly launched service is one milestone to many the Bank has achieved in its journey toward digital transformation. Our mission is to constantly study the market and convert opportunities into success stories that strengthen the Bank’s position in the banking sector and expand its customer base,” said Mr. Hassan Al Zaabi, Head of E-Channels Retail at the Bank.
To open a new savings account through the app, new customers will only have to register their personal details, through scanning their ID card from the front and backside, as well as taking a selfie using the mobile phone to document the identity of the account holder for Omanis. As for resident and foreign customers, the app requires verification of the resident ID card from both sides, and the passport. They are also required to take a selfie by the mobile phone. Following the completion of the registration process, the account will be created and activated.
ahli islamic has announced earlier this year the new upgrade of its Internet and mobile banking application. The app allows ahli islamic customers to access a diverse portfolio of banking products and services. To name a few, customers are able to manage their accounts and cards more easily, along with the possible option of replacing and stopping the card either credit or debit, when required. The app also allows customers to obtain an instant electronic and printable account statement, make local and international transfers, as well as request for a chequebook. Additionally, users can conduct their banking transactions and pay utility bills in the new app. ahli islamic mobile app is supported by high standards of security and convenience, and it helps customers to save time and effort.
