Indonesia raises $800.28mln from Islamic bonds auction

Project-based sukuk maturing in October 2025. Indonesia raised 11.3 trillion rupiah ($800.28 million) from this year's first Islamic bonds auction on Tuesday, below its indicative target, the finance ministry said in a statement.

Project-based sukuk maturing in October 2025 was sold with higher average yields while the sukuk maturing in October 2046 was sold with lower average yield than the comparable notes sold in the previous auction on Dec. 8, 2020.

The auction drew bids amounting to 24.3 trillion rupiah, compared with 27.8 trillion rupiah in the previous auction.

The government plans to hold greenshoe option auctions on Wednesday to try to raise more for coronavirus relief.
