Hong Leong Asset Management launches online platform, says funds’ distribution yield at 6.08% to 22.47%

Hong Leong Asset Management Bhd, which has launched its online investment platform "HL iSmart Invest", said distribution yield for its equity-based unit trust schemes range from 6.08% to 22.47% for the 12 months between Nov 30, 2019 and Nov 30, 2020.

In a statement yesterday, Hong Leong Asset Management said it manages nine equity funds comprising seven conventional schemes and two Islamic funds.

The conventional schemes comprise HL Value Fund, HL Asia-Pacific Dividend Fund, HL Growth Fund, HL Hong Kong Equity Optimizer Fund, HL Dividend Fund, HL Consumer Products Sector Fund and HL Balanced Fund, according to Hong Leong Asset Management. 

Meanwhile, the two Islamic funds are known as HL Dana Makmur and HL Dana Maa’rof, Hong Leong Asset Management said.

"Unit trust investment schemes offer diversified investment strategies aiming to deliver risk-adjusted returns that commensurate with your risk appetite and earn better returns than bank deposits.

"The HL iSmart Invest online platform offers investors a wide selection of unit trust funds ranging from conventional funds to Islamic funds,” Hong Leong Asset Management said.

Hong Leong Asset Management said HL iSmart Invest enables investors to have seamless access to unit trust product information and the ability to invest anytime and anywhere without the need to meet a unit trust adviser physically.

Hong Leong Asset Management chief executive officer Hoo See Kheng said in the statement that the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in rapid digital migration among consumers, businesses and investors to fulfil their needs and adapt not only to a new way of working, doing business or shopping, but also a new way of investing. 

"We believe that the introduction of the new HL iSmart Invest is very timely and will cater to an increasingly tech-savvy consumer generation which embodies a digital-and-mobile-first mindset and lifestyle,” Hoo said
