Al-Rajhi Bank announced on 7th February 2010 that it will be expanding its network by opening 90 new branches per the next 3 years in a bid to be in the neighborhood of all its clients.
“This expansion strategy will help the largest Islamic bank in the world to keep its preeminence in terms of having the largest branch network locally and regionally,” Al-Rajhi Bank CEO and Vice President Saeed Al-Ghamdi said. The number of its branches will then increase to 546.

“The bank has made sure that all new branches meet the highest standard, which reflects our vision of the future banking strategy,” Al-Ghamdi said and emphasized that the bank would continue with its expansion and develop its Internet banking system, to be able to offer its services in the most efficient manner.

“Our expansion plan will take into consideration various elements including the man power needed to operate and run our huge network, the feasibility and economic studies for further expansion based on the growth of the local and regional banking system, and also the need for specific locations for our services,” he added.
