 Bank Negara's International Reserves Up At RM332.2 Billion

Bank Negara Malaysia's international reserves increased to RM332.2 billion (US$97 billion) as at Jan 29, 2010, from RM331.4 billion (US$96.7 billion) on Jan 15, 2010.
Bank Negara Malaysia's international reserves increased to RM332.2 billion (US$97 billion) as at Jan 29, 2010, from RM331.4 billion (US$96.7 billion) on Jan 15, 2010.

The reserves position is sufficient to finance 9.2 months of retained imports and 4.1 times the short-term external debt, the central bank said in a statement on Feb 5th, 2010.

Effective from 1999, all foreign assets and liabilities are revalued at the end of each quarter. The US Dollar equivalent of International Reserves was USD 96,959.5 million as at 29 January 2010.
