PRESS RELEASE: CIBAFI and Ivey Business School to organize the Fifth Executive Programme

14th July 2019, Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain | The General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI),the global umbrella of Islamic financial institutions;and Ivey Business School at Western University, Canada, on their fifth year of fruitful collaboration, bring this year’s Executive Programme on “Strategic Thinking, Agile Leadership and Curiosity, and Application of FinTech Innovations”. This programme will be held on 5 - 6 November 2019, in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain.



As in the previous years, CIBAFI - Ivey Business School Executive Programme will run for two days. This year’s agenda will focus on strategic thinking, agile leadership and curiosity and the application of Fintech innovations to diverse aspects of the financial services. In addition to highly interactive and case-driven learning approach, this year’s Executive Prorramme also aims to include a pre-programme survey to gauge the participants level of leadership curiosity as well as the inclusion of experience sharing from industry leaders.

What makes this programme unique is the combination of case studies and recent thoughts on strategic thinking, innovation and financial technologies in the context of Islamic financial services industry. It will also include discussions on sustainability and the Islamic financial institutions’ responsibility on safeguarding the highest ethical standards in banking.


This programme is ideal for Senior Executives and Board Members from Finance and Banking sector, Strategy and Consulting Industries, as well as members of regulatory bodies, among other functions.
